The Best Budget Web Hosting
Hostinger Review 2025: The Best Budget Web Hosting?
RankTheStack runs on Hostinger’s Premium plan. We didn’t choose it because of the affiliate program — we chose it first, then joined the affiliate program afterward. Everything in this review reflects our genuine experience as an active customer.
Hostinger is the best value web hosting available in 2025. Fast load times, reliable uptime, an excellent hPanel dashboard, and consistently the lowest pricing in the industry. Best for: bloggers, small business sites, WordPress sites, and anyone launching their first website on a budget. Not ideal for: high-traffic enterprise sites needing dedicated resources.
RankTheStack Score
What is Hostinger?
Hostinger is a web hosting provider founded in 2004 and headquartered in Lithuania. Despite being less well-known than GoDaddy or Bluehost in the US market, Hostinger has grown to host over 3 million websites worldwide by consistently offering the fastest speeds and lowest prices in shared hosting.
Their hPanel control panel is a custom-built alternative to the industry-standard cPanel — and in our testing, it’s noticeably cleaner and easier to navigate than what you’ll find on most competitors.
Hostinger Pricing (2025)
| Plan | Intro price | Renews at | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single | $1.99/mo | $8.99/mo | One site, just starting out |
| Premium | $1.99/mo | $10.99/mo | Up to 3 sites — best value |
| Business | $2.99/mo | $16.99/mo | Up to 50 sites, daily backups |
| Cloud Startup | $6.99/mo | $25.99/mo | High traffic, priority support |
Our recommendation: The Premium plan is the sweet spot — same intro price as Single but supports 3 websites, 20GB storage, and includes a free domain for the first year. That free domain alone covers most of the cost difference.
Performance Testing
Speed
We tested RankTheStack’s load time using Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix after installing LiteSpeed Cache. Results: 94/100 on desktop, 81/100 on mobile — well above the industry average for shared hosting. Hostinger uses LiteSpeed web servers, which are significantly faster than the Apache servers most budget hosts use.
Uptime
Over 90 days of monitoring using UptimeRobot, RankTheStack recorded 99.94% uptime on Hostinger — exceeding their 99.9% guarantee. We experienced zero unplanned downtime during our review period.
WordPress performance
Hostinger’s one-click WordPress installer is the fastest we’ve used — site was live in under 3 minutes. The LiteSpeed Cache plugin (pre-installed on WordPress sites) handles caching automatically with zero configuration needed.
hPanel — Hostinger’s Control Panel
Most web hosts use cPanel, which is functional but dated. Hostinger built their own control panel called hPanel, and it’s genuinely better. The layout is clean, all major functions are one click away, and the WordPress management section in particular is excellent — you can install, update, and manage multiple WordPress sites without ever leaving hPanel.
Customer Support
Hostinger offers 24/7 live chat support. Response times in our testing averaged 3–4 minutes. The support team was knowledgeable and resolved our test queries (SSL setup, domain propagation, email configuration) on the first contact. Phone support is not available — if that’s a dealbreaker, consider SiteGround instead.
